Hamburg and Northern Germany represent one of Europe's largest hubs for the healthcare industry. This annual pitch event showcases the region's enormous innovation potential.
2025 – Building on Success
Life Science Nord, Hamburg Investors Network, High-Tech Gründerfonds
The second edition focused on scientifically grounded innovations with life-saving potential. An opening panel discussed funding requirements for health startups. Nine startups presented breakthrough ideas in cancer detection, diagnostics, and biotechnology.
Winner 2025: Aortex
The Hamburg-based startup presented an innovative membrane technology enabling faster production of smaller vascular stents for treating aneurysms – a widespread and potentially fatal arterial condition.

The inaugural event featured a welcome address by Hamburg's First Mayor Dr. Peter Tschentscher. Nine startups from biotech, medtech, and digital health presented their innovations, with the audience voting for the best pitch.

Prof. Dr. Angela Relógio's startup developed a saliva test that synchronizes cancer treatment with the body's biological rhythm – improving efficacy while reducing side effects.
